Technical Assessing continues to make Senior Appointments

Technical Assessing Pty Ltd (“TA”), one of Australia’s oldest and most respected specialist Loss Adjusting firms; is pleased to announce a number of senior appointments.

Neale Pretorius has joined as a Senior Loss Adjuster, as well as Mark Bonner as Executive Loss Adjuster. Both Mark and Neale will be based in the Victorian office, focused on Property and Construction claims. In addition, TA has also engaged Steve Bar-bara of FACTS (Forensic Accounting & Claims Technical Services) as a national resource for Business Interruption claims.

Neale has over 16 year’s experience as a Loss Adjuster and prior to joining TA, he managed a portfolio of commercial property and contract works claims for an international adjusting company from inception to final settlement. Neale commenced his career in South Africa, spending the early part of his adjusting career in the UK, prior to moving to Australia in 2015. While in the UK working as a commercial property adjuster, Neale handled claims autonomously up to £500,000.

Mark Bonner has more than 40 year’s experience as a Loss Adjuster and joins TA from a major international insurer as one of their internal Loss Adjusters, where he handled a portfolio of complex and high value major loss claims, across all facets of the property portfolio. Mark’s experience also includes significant exposure to construction claims. Commencing his career in the UK, Mark relocated to Australia in 1985 with a global loss adjusting firm, having established their regional NSW office.

Steve Bar-bara is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Loss Adjuster having commenced his Loss Adjusting career in 1999. Via his firm, FACTS, Steve has been engaged by TA to work closely with the property team on Business Interruption claims. Assignments handled include both local and overseas experience where he performed forensic accounting work on complex matters such as waste recycling plants, logistics and warehousing, textiles, and manufacturing enterprises.

Managing Director, David Cambridge responded to the appointments by saying; “we are excited by the prospect of having Loss Adjusters of the calibre of Mark and Neale bolster TA’s property and construction capability, coupled with the engagement of Steve Bar-bara, who will draw on his vast international forensic accounting experience across the UK, Europe, South East Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. These appointments will further enhance our offering to clients both in Victoria and nationally.”

VIC State Manager, Steve Mann commented; “The addition of Mark and Neale to our team is very encouraging given the continued support from our clients. Both Mark and Neale bring tremendous knowledge and experience to the growing VIC team and further demonstrates TA’s commitment to servicing the needs of our clients’ complex and technical claims, especially for property and construction related matters.”

We welcome Mark and Neale to TA and look forward to the opportunity of working closely with Steve Bar-bara.
