Work Experience

Jo started her insurance career in 2006, shortly after Cyclone Larry, which caused more than $1 billion worth of damage in Far North Queensland.

Jo was initially employed to help loss adjusters liaise with the insured and facilitate settlements of domestic, commercial and farm property claims.

She continued to manage and settle matters, as well as claims arising from Cyclone Yasi in 2011 and Cyclone Ita in 2014.

In 2018, Jo was promoted to loss adjuster. Since then, she's worked on the Hobart floods in 2018 as well as business-as-usual claims.

I love working for Technical Assessing because I have such kind, considerate colleagues and have the flexible  work environment.

My favourite leisure activities are cooking, entertaining, spending time with my animals and taking out the boat with my husband – we love to fish and explore Tasmania’s gorgeous waterways.

My favourite place to visit is Israel because I love ancient history and it has so many fascinating attractions.
