Jason has almost three decades of experience as a marine surveyor, making him well-placed to handle large and complex losses.
Jason joined the marine surveying world in 1998, as a trainee inspector with SGS, in South Africa. After emigrating to Australia in 2008, he worked for a large insurance adjusting firm, before returning to his roots in 2010, as a marine surveyor for shipping lines and P&I clubs. In 2018, Jason re-joined the insurance sector, where he worked for a range of major and smaller insurers.
Before joining Technical Assessing, Jason's attention to detail and technical knowledge saw him appointed to large claims by various insurers, often with excellent results on recoveries. One of his career highlights was playing a major role in reducing a cargo claim of potentially US$9 million down to US$300,000.
My favourite leisure activity is: Scuba diving, reading, movies, fine dining, going to the gym, and spending quality time with my wife and son
My favourite places to visit are: Mauritius for a holiday and South Korea for work, with Mozambique a close second. Also, I was lucky enough to visit the South Pole while in the South African navy.
