Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance
Affiliate of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters
Having graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Risk Management, Andrew entered the insurance industry in 1997 with a major international Insurance Company in Glasgow. Predominantly working within the Commercial Property Claims Department, Andrew was also seconded to the Company’s Manchester office as a full-time member of the UK Claims Transformation Project.
Andrew moved to Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2000 to commence his first loss adjusting role with a Major International Loss Adjuster. Initially starting as a dual Property and Liability Adjuster, Andrew quickly specialised in liability claims before transferring to the Glasgow office.
In 2004, Andrew formed part of the Phase One Catastrophe Action Team sent to the Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Frances (and, shortly after, Hurricane Jeanne).
In 2006, Andrew joined a “boutique” liability adjuster in the UK. He latterly worked for a major International Loss Adjuster before immigrating to Australia.
Andrew has investigated and handled a wide range of Public, Products, and Employers’ liability claims including fatal accidents, catastrophic injury and major property damage. He has also worked within most industry sectors, including construction and demolition, offshore oil and gas, petro-chemical, agriculture, heavy industry, commercial and retail.
