Following a career as an army officer Steve practiced as a Barrister and Solicitor, accumulating experience in prosecutions/litigation including workplace safety, consumer affairs, environmental breaches and electoral offences, for ten years before joining an international logistics organisation in 2009 and dealing with investigations into breaches of ethics and compliance in relation to the relationship between the Afghan Government and international contractors supporting NATO and the US Forces
Steve returned to Australia in 2011 and later worked as a senior analyst for the Tasmanian Government investigation into child sexual abuse within the institutional environment in support of the Royal Commission examining such abuses.
Steve has experience in the structure of both public and private organisations along with an understanding of the expected conduct and behaviour of employees engaged in such organisations. He has developed broad experience involving work in the investigation and analysis of procedural non-compliance and offences along with associated breaches of codes of conduct in both sectors.
